Event Reminder:
Sunday February 27, 2011, 9:00 a.m. Start
Rancho Sante Fe Road Course

The Spring Point Series begins in less than two weeks!

Rancho Sante Fe Road Course is a club-favorite 4-mile road circuit.
Starts and finishes on Via de Fortuna near Vista de Fortuna.  After a
short downhill you’ll turn right onto El Montevideo, which continues
down and then levels and rolls until a right turn onto San Elijo.
Slightly uphill then some more descending before the climb starts
along the golf course and continues after a right turn onto Via de
Fortuna.  A, B, and C groups will complete six laps for a total of 24
miles.  We'll stagger the starts to keep the groups separate.

I recommend checking out “3D FLYOVER”

Meet at Seaside Market Starbucks in Cardiff at 8:15 for a sign in.
And then ride over to the start/finish point at Via de Fortuna in time
to sign in anyone that wants to meet there.  After the ride I hope to
add on stud loop/enchanted forest/maybe Torrey Pines before heading
back to town for coffee.

If you have questions or suggestions please feel free to call or
write.  We're always going to be open to your suggestions improve this
series.  Dave Wiese (760) 944-0841

Point System
Points will be awarded for placings in each category for the overall
series. 10 points will be awarded to the winner of each category, then
8, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 points for places 2-7. All riders will receive at
least 1 point for participating. “King of the Mountain” points will be
awarded on announced RSF laps and the Double Peak event.

A plan is forming to present an award to the points leader in each
category, and the series king of the mountain.  If you would like to
join Michelob Ultra in promoting the club series please let us
know.

Categories
The three categories are designed to keep similarly-paced riders
together.  “A” is very fast.  “B” is still fast, but only if you ask a
B group rider.  And the “C” group is designed for riders who enjoy
joining Swami club rides but don’t normally compete.  If you’re not
sure in which category you should ride, err on the side of the faster
group.  You can always ease up until the next category catches you.
