Join us for a tour of all the worst climbs North County has to offer! Progress through the 12 Stages of Ascension to the feeling of enlightenment you can only reach once you’ve passed beyond the confines of suffering.
Starting at Iron Fist Brewery in Vista, you will spend almost all of the approximately 50-mile ride within Carlsbad and San Marcos. We’ve discovered every awful road you always avoid and put them all on one ride: each of the 12 stages hits at least 12% and is about .4-1.0 mile in length. You can choose to merely survive, or you can throw your hat in the ring for the top three KOM/QOM prizes! And don’t worry, there are lots of OTHER hills that don’t quite hit 12% on the route.
All finishers receive a custom Swami’s Spring Uprising t-shirt, indulge in a well-stocked rest stop oasis along the route, and can imbibe an Iron Fist beer of your choosing post-ride.

Matt's Alternate Route Matt has created a route for those, like himself, who wants to do the event but not all the nasty climbing. This route follows the main route but cuts out the nastiest hills while adding on a little extra so the route isn't too short. By following the main route, it will allow people to still take on a few of the nasty hills if so desired.
